COACH
Coach Cassy currently holds the CrossFit Level I Trainer certification, ACE Group Fitness Instructor Certification, CrossFit Level 2 certification, ACE Fitness Nutrition Specialist and holds current CPR/AED certification, and the CrossFit Gymnastics Certification. Along with fitness certs., she has earned her Master’s Degree from Liberty University in Human Services with an emphasis in Health and Wellness. Cassy has always been an active person, playing team sports (Volleyball, Basketball, Softball and Track and Field in high school) as well as constantly seeking fitness classes to stay active. She has also taught more traditional fitness classes such as Body Sculpting and basic functional fitness. Prior to CF Lacey, Cassy volunteered with Iron Major CrossFit and coached with Results Functional Fitness at Fort Leavenworth, KS as well as volunteer coaching with JBLM CrossFit. Cassy first found CrossFit more than three years ago and immediately knew that she had found her passion and her place to make a difference. CrossFit brought an overall feeling of confidence back that had been missing for many years both mentally as well as physically. It is the feeling of confidence that she loves to pass on to others, to coach them into knowing that they CAN do it! The community is what Cassy loves most about the sport. Through that community and personalized coaching efforts, Cassy truly cares about all the athletes at CrossFit Lacey Training Day. Outside of CrossFit, Cassy enjoys spending time with her family as much as possible. You will find her supporting her kids at school and sporting events and you will see her husband, Dean, working out at the gym on occasion too when he can find the time around his busy Army career. She also loves to pass the passion of fitness off onto her two daughters as much as possible. It is absolutely invaluable to be active, strong and capable. This is the most important message, girls especially, need to hear! |
