JOSH LOTT
Josh grew up being athletic and was quick in picking up new sports and new experiences. He spent his time playing basketball, volleyball, soccer, surfing, and even trying sports like rugby, cricket, and Australian rules football. He played varsity volleyball and basketball in high school and was introduced to the weight room, but his real passion was to run. After high school Josh began to run and run well. He joined the Army Reserves to pay for college and was soon deployed. Josh continued to lift and run till he was introduced to Olympic lifting and CrossFit in 2008 with the workout “Fight Gone Bad,” as a candidate for Army Special Forces. He stayed active in Olympic lifting and strength and conditioning until, in 2017, Josh, at the prodding of his wife, he was asked to sign up for the CrossFit Open. Seeing an international leader board and the CrossFit community opened his eyes to what he could do in that community. He jumped in with both feet and has not looked back. He soon began coaching and filling in at Fight Tonight CrossFit in Seoul, Korea when some of the coaches had scheduling conflicts or could not make class times, and really found his niche. Since coming to CrossFit Lacey, Josh has become a Level 1 Trainer and his love for fitness has only grown. He plans to continue to train and then to someday start his own gym, with a strength and conditioning website.
