Kara's Bio
Kara has always had a passion for being active and helping others. Growing up in Fairbanks, AK, Kara was active in all sports with a focus on soccer. After a few ACL tears and years in physical therapy, Kara figured out that she wanted to be a physical therapist. After attending Oregon State University, Kara didn't get into PT school right away. To pass the time, she became a personal trainer and googled a gym to work for. That gym turned out to be a CrossFit gym and that was her first taste of the CrossFit Kool Aid. Ever since 2013, Kara has been coaching CrossFit at various gyms. Kara became a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2017 and has been doing both CrossFit and physical therapy ever since. Kara came to CrossFit Lacey after the army moved her family (husband and two pugs, Larry and Louie) out here in October. Kara loves to help others improve themselves through movement! She has big goals of developing as a movement specialist and hoping to eventually merge her Physical therapy and CrossFit careers. If she is not in the gym or at work, she is most likely somewhere with her pugs. Kara is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Kara offers Physical Therapy on site at CrossFit Training Day, click here to see her schedule. |
